Michael's Story: Professional & Personal

Michael received his initial exposure to voice acting at UCLA in the elocution and dramatic reading curriculum. However, he discovered his true love and talent for oral storytelling reading bedtime stories to his three children when they were young.

Later he received more formal training from audiobook producer, Laurel van der Linde, at the TVI Actors Studio in Los Angeles. Laurel produced Michael's original audio samples CD. In grateful acknowledgement of of Laurel's assistance, Michael has made the CD's cover art our company logo.

It was at TVI Michael booked his first professional voice over work, recording various television ads for Nickelodeon and multiple radio spots for the TV show, The Scariest Places on Earth.

But, with a mortgage and young family to support, Michael put voice acting on hold and returned to a multi-faceted legal career in telecommunications and finance.

Now he is comfortably retired and once again pursuing his passion for oral storytelling - humanity's first true art form.

He has a vocal age range from child to senior. He can perform multiple character voices, do several accents, and is familiar with medical, legal and financial terminology.

Since early 2025, he has devoted much of his time and talent to audiobook production for ACX and Audible where he frequently enjoys working with first-time, self-published authors.

Michael is a native Californian, Eagle Scout, a graduate of UCLA and Southwestern Law School, and honorably discharged from the 313th Military Intelligence Detachment, 63rd ARCOM, U.S. Army.

He has been a civil trial lawyer, president of his own private cable television company, a registered Commodity Trading Advisor, and a teacher of technical analysis of financial markets.

Michael resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife of over 42 years and their two dogs, Orville and Wilbur (Orry and Willy for short), actual brothers from the same litter.
