Michael received his initial voice acting training in the UCLA elocution and dramatic reading curriculum. He received additional coaching from audiobook producer, Laurel van der Linde, at the TVI Actors Studio in Los Angeles. Laurel produced Michael's original sample reel featured in AUDIO SAMPLESon this site.
Michael has recorded various television ads for Nickleodeon and multiple radio spots for the TV show, The Scariest Places on Earth, performed in various live-action re-enactment segments on The History Channel, narrated financial webinars for Pacific Trading Academy and voiced personal motivational affirmations and meditations for private clients.
Since the start of 2025, he has devoted much of his time and talent to audiobook narration for Audible.com where he frequently enjoys working with first-time, self-published authors.
He has curated a revolving collection of audiobook samples on MICHAEL BRIDGES' PROFILE PAGE on ACX.com which displays both his nonfiction "real voice" as well as fictional scenes with multiple characters, genders and accents (including a talking canine spirit guide from New Jersey).

His unique skills include touch typing, 5-string bluegrass banjo, 12-string acoustic guitar, swimming, snorkeling, sky diving, bungee jumping, Shaolin Kempo karate and loading & firing blackpowder firearms - flintlock and percussion.
Michael is the proud father of three adult children and resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife of over 41 years and their two dogs, Orville and Wilbur, actual brothers from the same litter.
